ABOUT MESTIZ STUDIO & DANIEL VALERO

Mestiz is vibrant & disruptive design studio founded by architect and designer Daniel Valero that thrives on collaborative ventures with Mexican artisans. Best known for creating wild objects and textiles, Mestiz is inspired by the natural surroundings and cultural syncretism of Mexico’s artisanal techniques. Born in Saltillo, Mexico, Valero studied architecture at Tecnológico de Monterrey and earned a master’s degree in textile design from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris before founding his company, Mestiz, in 2015.  Based in San Miguel de Allende, the studio represents a dynamic collaboration with Mexican artisans, privileged to work closely with skilled Mexican artisans, each a guardian of their ancestral craft. Together, in workshops across the north and Bajio regions of Mexico – including Tequisquiapan, Dolores, Saltillo, Atotonilco, and San Miguel de Allende – they delve into the art of creation.

Renowned for her ancient healing practices, Fernanda will be sharing the wisdom and power of her heritage with passionate seekers of spiritual and physical wellbeing.
